I lost the weight with Zumba® Fitness...and you can, too!
I’m not your typical Zumba® instructor. An attorney by day, I gained 40 pounds within the first few years of practice and found it difficult to maintain a healthy weight. I knew I needed to do something to take better care of myself, but I couldn't sustain any interest with the regular options like a treadmill or walking around my neighborhood.
I'd been seeing commercials for Zumba® Fitness, so when a friend asked me to take some classes with her, I decided to give it a shot. Dancing seemed like the perfect option, because I am trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and lyrical forms of dance and have been dancing since I was 3 years old. From the first class in February 2010, I knew that Zumba® Fitness classes were for me.
I decided to teach Zumba® Fitness classes, because I love the workout and want to help other people who have the same weight struggles. Even when I’m not teaching, I take as many Zumba® Fitness classes as I can!
